cascades from the sky

Currently lying in bed at 9pm and watching cable, which generally indicates 1 of 2 things: work trip or, parents. While both are true in this case, the exciting element is that Dad is here! It's his first time in the Pacific Northwest, and he's staying for the entire week. We have an ambitious schedule including salmon fishing on the coast and hiking volcanos in Washington. Excited to play tour guide, and to share this place with him.

A conversation we had over dinner reminded me of these epic photos I took flying out of Seattle this past June:

on stage, tonight!

I've loved Rufus Wainwright since high school, and the love has only grown stronger since.

Being from suburban USA, the milestone of getting my drivers license was a big deal and evokes strong memories of freedom - finally! This freedom translates, in my case, to southern heat, windows down, Rufus, cigarettes, bad (great) rap music, mixed cd's, too many pairs of shoes in my car, being late for school, friends, late-night artistic ventures, and... more Rufus.

Can't believe I'm seeing him tonight! And with the Portland Symphony. It's all happening...

Oh What a World!

'I don't know what it is', with a bit of family footage at the beginning...

blue agate beauty

Finished a ring for the lovely Sadie Rose this weekend. Took a few liberties and challenges within the venture including the three prong hammered band. Learned even more about the heat properties of solder, and how to finish an asymmetrical square stone. Because trading is infinitely more fun than dealing with dollars, in turn, she's sending me a box of goodies from her treasure trove of vintage, seen here in her recently transformed etsy shop: SADIE DELUXE.

beginnings.

I hope it fits!! xoxoxoxox.
