scrapbook

Discovered Lula Scrapbook today. Take a look.

It reminds me of all the time I spent on scrapbooks as a small girl - like, literally would pour over pages and stickers and paper cut-outs for hours. Clare and I were entertained by it for an amount of time I can only pine for these days.

The internet makes it so easy these days, but the pages sure don't smell like rubber cement....

Yes please!

stone&smith debut!

Much to my surprise and delight, when I logged onto Etsy just now I discovered the featuring of a stone&smith bolo tie in a treasury. Take a look!

What a fun thing.

Oh, today!

We finish the move to the new house today. Lots of heavy lifting, low doses of sleep, sleeping in the middle of freshly painted rooms with all the windows open, dust sneezes, and squeezing in as much hang out time as possible. This marks my fourth abode in the Pacific Northwest; I think it's going to be a good one.

bolos, baby

I just posted a huge chunk of my Bolo Tie supply in the shop and already - have sold two! I love that this old western symbol looks so hot on most everyone.

Check out Clare sporting it on the streets of Ithaca.

And miss Sadie Rose sporting hers in the place she loves the most, her home. Home, might I add, of SadieDeluxe and Lost Boys and Lovers. One day I'll make it to Chico to hang out with her and Asher.

And hopefully stop here en route. Happy Friday, y'all!

smells like paint

We got the keys! To the new abode!

It's a small yellow house which, when approached from the east or the north, is hidden to the eye. When you're inside, three of five windows in the living space need no blinds because it's part tree house.

The living room and the kitchen are huge and open and now - painted. Check out the (rather quick, might I add...) progress we've made the last two nights.

Things that are already moved in: toothbrush, soap, guacamole, pacifico, chips, two plants & my blowtorch.

new perspective

Friends, lovers, those both far and near. Summer is ACTUALLY here.

I know this blog claims excitement of sunshine and things in bloom often, but it's only because life is most fun to report on when the clouds subside from this valley and people actually leave their house (I am one of the worst culprits with my proclivity to hide from the world with endless cups of tea & room-dwelling). Alas.

With only 5 days of July under our feet, I can claim to have:

turned 26 (yay!) - discovered and befriended the owner of a new restaurant - camped on a mountainside - packed up half my sh*t for the upcoming move - eaten one half of a dungeoness crab - pumped up my bicycle tires - eaten dinner outdoors every night - smelled like campfire for 24 hours - napped in the sunshine - danced to chromeo - become the proud owner of my very own blow torch - listened to countless new tunes...

and... taken pictures of new items for the shop! All available here.
