sarah kate gets hitched

The girl is beautiful, but I couldn't have predicted what a stunning bride she would make. Sarah married Adam Fillman last fall and just this weekend, they got around to gathering loved ones for a formal celebration. It was a down-home-simple-lovin' shindig that started and ended with no shoes and small crowds on her parents' back porch. The only time I was anything except relaxed was about 10 minutes before pulling into her driveway and mere minutes after the surprise (joyful/tearful) embrace. She had no idea I was coming - only her husband and parents were in the know.

The duo is shipping out to Cadena Air Force Base on Wednesday to embrace, in their words, a 'three-and-a-half year honeymoon' in Japan. During this time, you can find them eating sushi on Okinawa.

The two of them are an incredibly dynamic couple, full of life & individuality that complements the other in that 'oh, okay - let's do this one... for life!' kind of way. I watched them dance the swing at their reception and it solidified what I already knew to be true. Then, come to find out - it was their first time dancing like that together. Really, quite impressive, those moves...

Cheers to surprises and it always, always being worth it.

Adam's cousin draws New Yorker cartoons. Aaaand, these pretty faces!
