on stage, tonight!
I've loved Rufus Wainwright since high school, and the love has only grown stronger since.
Being from suburban USA, the milestone of getting my drivers license was a big deal and evokes strong memories of freedom - finally! This freedom translates, in my case, to southern heat, windows down, Rufus, cigarettes, bad (great) rap music, mixed cd's, too many pairs of shoes in my car, being late for school, friends, late-night artistic ventures, and... more Rufus.
Can't believe I'm seeing him tonight! And with the Portland Symphony. It's all happening...

one more track for monday
Heard this song in Hannah's car this morning. Shout out to Big Knuck, Hannah's pop.
summer weekends
BBQ's, farmers market, visitors, getting lost on bikes, new friends, river tubing, sleeping in (finally!), beers by the river, taco nights, music on the streets, and messy bedrooms.

Jack Penate
Something about this music makes it feel like it hasn't been raining outside for a month, and reminds me that the summer's momentum is already under my skin.
It's no surprise that he's British and that I was in love at first listen.

Soprano

It's one of those many many moments where you think to yourself, 'why did I ever stop playing piano', or 'i could totally sing in a band instead of the shower', or 'how have I still not mastered an instument'. The Seekins are so good at fostering these fundamental niceties in life. PS, Grace is class president. Kill it girl.
